Rashid was admitted to the ICU
Rashid was admitted to the ICU directly from the
operating theatre after a fourth surgery during a
prolonged hospital stay. Prior to the surgery, pyrexia,
tachycardia and desaturation had been observed. During
the operation, infected fluid was seen near the spleen,
and excess fluid within the lining of the lung was found to
contain blood.
